[Inc.com](http://www.inc.com/)の第3回デザインコンテストの受賞作品は美しさとスマートさ、かつ実用的な製品に贈られます。

受賞デザインは美しさ、エレガントさ、技術の破壊的、独創的な製品になります。時に優れたデザイン製品の中には過度にハイテク依存であったり、そのほとんどが不当に高価であることがあります。これを解消することが優れたデザインと認められる上で、最も重要なものと考えています。

洗練された[ヘイロー2](https://www.starkeyjp.com/product/lp/halo2)は、小さなそのボディに有用な技術を大量に詰めていることで受賞した製品です。

 

「この補聴器は我々の固定概念の補聴器という不格好なものじゃない。技術的にはハウリング抑制技術を洗練させ、しかもほとんど周囲から見えなくなっています。周囲の騒音を減衰させながら会話音を強調します。風が強く補聴器に入ってくれば、自動で聞き分けて抑制し、[スマートフォン上のアプリ](https://www.starkeyjp.com/hearing-apps)を経由すればほぼ完全に風を断ち切ることもできます。低い声の人に合わせて音をチューニングする必要があれば、ささやき声を上げるためにスマートフォンの画面をスワイプします。ジオタグは特定の場所で好みの設定を記憶できます。ヘッドフォンとして両耳でユーザーはワイヤレスで音楽を再生したり、メールやメッセージも聞くことができます。スターキーはミュージシャンや補聴器装用者との重なる検証でこの補聴器を設計しました。スタイルに革新性は少ないかもしれませんが、ユーティリティ（ユーザーの使い勝手）は確かなものです。」
